9 Posts in 9 Days - Post #3

Things are pretty busy around here. Right now the roomies and I are in the process of defrosting the freezer, cleaning out the fridge, cleaning cabinets, sorting through 9 months worth of living room clutter, discovering our last utility bill is almost 600 euros (this is a very recent occurrence..the extent of how amazingly sucky that is hasn't quite sunk in yet), arguing a bit here and there...you know, the usual moving-out excitement. Basically our living room looks like a tornado at the moment. We have to get it all done today and tomorrow, because Monique (the crazy landlady I'm always complaining about) is coming to the apartment for a walk-through on Saturday. As this depends on how much of the 800 euro deposit I paid at the beginning of the year I get back, I'm most definitely gonna make sure this place is perfect.

The rest of the week isn't going to be any less hectic. Tonight we're having a going-away party at IPN, tomorrow I have "class" all day and our farewell banquet that night, Thursday I will be in Marseille all day (maybe..I might need to stay behind in order to get everything done), I need to make a trip outside of Aix to the Caf Department (long story..explain later), Thursday night is my friend's 21st birthday, so celebrating is not optional ;) Friday is the day to finish the house and deal with Monique, and HOPEFULLY get back at least 700 euros that is rightfully mine. Saturday I'm heading to Cannes for the infamous Cannes Film Festival! Sunday is pack day, Monday is say-goodbye day and Tuesday morning I'm gone! Whew.

Anyway, I'm afraid the vacuum is calling me, so I'll leave it at that.

Hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather that has FINALLY arrived!

  1. Bonjour Teresa
Great job with your blog site! Another positive comment with the French culture is their tolerance to pedestrians and cycling while driving! i can attest to that by being bold, in Paris, when riding a rental bike down the Champs-Elysees with our friend Jean!
Bonne Chance with the land lady & deposit. See you soon Love dad
